The Africa Study Bible is a Bible with study tools by African pastors and scholars. Our goal is to increase the understanding of the Bible using African insights and experiences to meet the needs of the church in Africa and around the world.
The editorial board for this project met in June 2011 in Accra, Ghana to iron out the parameters for this project. The influence of these committee members spanned the continents - from North, South, East, and West - and across the four main language groups - French, English, Portugese, and Arabic.

When it came to collaboration, the group's rank and position was of little importance; rather, the focus was on quality decision-making and raising up disciples of Jesus Christ. The meetings were characterized by three simple statements: One Mind, One Heart, One Voice.
