Satisfying Africa’s Thirst for God’s Word

We grow discipleship through publishing African voices.

630 million Christians are in Africa today, over twice as many as in North America. This vibrant Church is facing a discipleship crisis:

Over 208 Million

believers in Africa are without a Bible.

Up to 80%

of African pastors don’t have formal training.

Over 500 Million

believers in Africa need a trained pastor.

What We Do

Publishing

Biblical truth, when not applied in local contexts, can be like water disappearing in the sand. Oasis provides an ongoing supply of lifegiving water by discovering, developing, and distributing books by African authors who communicate Truth clearly in African contexts.

God's Word for Africa

God’s Word can change the lives and ministry of pastors, leaders, and students. Our God’s Word for Africa programme places a Bible in the hands of those who need it most, often with training, at little or no cost.

“The Africa Study Bible is really, really significant to me in pastoring the church. It has exposed me to what others are thinking and doing. It has broadened my understanding. The examples are happening in our cultures. It widens our scope of understanding the Bible.”

Reverend Bagos
Previously, Bagos used 5-6 books in sermon preparation, but now this Bible has simplified the process for him.

Africa Study Bible

The Africa Study Bible was uniquely created by Africans as a gift to their continent and to the global church. It includes the Holy Bible: New Living Translation, and over 2,600 notes created by more than 350 contributors from 50 countries making it the most ethnically and geographically diverse, biblical resource ever published.

It’s an all-in-one course in biblical content, theology, history, and culture.

Africa Bible Fund

The Africa Bible Fund is an opportunity to bridge the capital gap and cover the costs of printing and distributing Bibles to equip the vibrant church in Africa.
